Expansion of Bridge Two to Boost Economic Growth in PN-EP Border Region: COPARMEX

The president of the Confederation of Employers of the Mexican Republic (COPARMEX) in northern Coahuila, Carl Bres Carranza, expressed excitement over the presidential approval for the expansion of Bridge Two, which will increase its capacity to six lanes. This development is expected to strengthen economic growth in the Piedras Negras-Eagle Pass border region.

Bres Carranza highlighted the significant rise in foreign trade and cargo traffic through this border crossing in recent years. He emphasized that the expansion will position Piedras Negras among the top five border ports for merchandise crossing in Mexico. Currently, the region’s railway crossing ranks second nationally, and the expansion aims to elevate its road cargo operations into the top tier nationwide.
