Kuwait and Qatar Stand United Amid Regional Tensions Following Missile Attack

KUWAIT — His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah contacted Qatar’s Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani following a missile attack by the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) on Al-Udeid air base. In a show of solidarity, His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah led a meeting of the Supreme Defence Council at Bayan Palace, joined by His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah.

Kuwait’s Foreign Minister Abdullah Al-Yahya affirmed Kuwait’s unwavering support for Qatar, emphasizing unity in the face of threats to security and stability. Kuwait’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly condemned the IRGC’s attack on Al-Udeid air base, calling it a violation of Qatar’s sovereignty, airspace, international law, and the UN Charter.
