KUWAIT, July 3 (KUNA) — The Ministry of Interior announced on Thursday the interception of approximately 100 kilograms of methamphetamine and 10 kilograms of heroin, valued at an estimated KD 1.15 million, during a joint Kuwait-UAE security operation. The operation, supervised by First Deputy Prime Minister Sheikh Fahad Yusuf Al-Sabah, was based on intelligence regarding a sea container connected to an international drug trafficking network. With coordination from Customs authorities, the container was traced from Shuwaikh Port, leading to the arrest of an Asian national in Amghara. The Kuwait Fire Force provided assistance in opening and securing the contents of the container.
