The Economist is looking for a researcher or reporter based in Seoul to collaborate with the East Asia Bureau. This dynamic and diverse role involves reporting, conducting research, verifying facts, arranging logistical support, interpreting information, and occasionally writing content. The ideal candidate will coordinate closely with the East Asia bureau chief and the research team to cover political, diplomatic, societal, corporate, financial, and cultural developments in both South and North Korea. There may also be chances to support the publication’s radio, film, and digital offerings. Prior experience in journalism is preferred but not mandatory.
