The newly launched WhatsApp channel ‘Emprendimientos y Empresas – Bogotá’ will enable entrepreneurs, business owners, and startups to directly access information about funding opportunities, training programs, and other relevant updates. This initiative aims to strengthen Bogotá’s business ecosystem, supporting both early-stage ventures and established companies.
During the Meta Day event, Bogotá’s Economic Development Secretariat officially introduced a dedicated WhatsApp communication channel tailored for local entrepreneurs and businesses. The platform is designed to deliver institutional offerings directly through this widely used social network.
The WhatsApp channel ‘Emprendimientos y Empresas – Bogotá’ will provide entrepreneurs with direct access to funding tools, training resources, and growth strategies. This initiative seeks to reinforce Bogotá’s business fabric, supporting both nascent startups and well-established enterprises.
By joining this channel, entrepreneurs can access technical, business, and financial training opportunities, organizational development resources, equipment provision options, and practical tips for business sustainability, financing access, and market expansion strategies — all delivered through easily accessible mobile content.
“The Economic Development Secretariat continues to innovate in how we deliver services to citizens. This new channel enables direct and effective support for those building businesses in Bogotá,” stated María del Pilar López Uribe, the city’s Economic Development Secretary.
The WhatsApp platform also provides access to the Business Maturity Diagnosis (DIME), which identifies a company’s development stage and delivers customized information about available municipal offerings.
Currently, the channel offers details about Emprendópolis — an initiative providing training, personalized technical advice, and potential capitalization of up to 3 million Colombian pesos to support entrepreneurial growth. Additionally, information about the Buena Paga program allows local business owners to access preferential credit conditions by demonstrating financial responsibility.
For larger enterprises, the channel includes details about the Inclusive Employment program, which encourages organizations to hire historically marginalized populations through additional incentives for each successful employment placement — creating business growth opportunities while promoting a more equitable city.
To join the channel, users simply need to follow these steps:
Open the WhatsApp application
Navigate to the ‘Updates’ tab
Access the ‘Channels’ section
Search for the channel named ‘Emprendimientos y Empresas Bogotá’
Click ‘Follow’ and enable notifications to receive all updates
