AMMAN, July 19 (KUNA) — Rashid Al-Tarmoom, a Kuwaiti swimmer representing both Qadsiya Sporting Club and the national team, clinched the top position in the 50-meter breaststroke competition on Saturday at the Open Swimming Championship in Jordan.
Al-Tarmoom earned the gold medal by setting a new national record in the 50-meter breaststroke with a time of 00:28:21 seconds. The championship commenced yesterday and will run until July 22, featuring competitors from multiple Arab nations.
Faisal Abu Al-Hassan, the General Manager of Water Games at Qadsiya Club, stated to KUNA that Al-Tarmoom’s impressive performance has brought a fresh achievement to Kuwait’s swimming community.

Kuwaiti swimmer wins gold medal at 50m race
AMMAN, July 19 (KUNA) — Kuwaiti swimmer of Qadsiya Sporting Club (SC) and the Kuwait national team, Rashid Al-Tarmoom, won first place on Saturday in the 50-meter breaststroke race, during the Open Swimming Championship held in Jordan.
Al-Tarmoom claimed the gold medal after setting a new Kuwaiti record in the 50-meter breaststroke event with 00:28:21 seconds, which began yesterday and will continue until the 22nd of this month, with the participation of swimmers representing various Arab countries.
