Saudi Arabia Facilitates Travel Permits for Investors Between Riyadh and Damascus

The Saudi Embassy in Damascus announced the commencement of issuing travel permits for Saudi and Syrian investors to facilitate mutual visits and explore investment opportunities between Saudi Arabia and Syria. According to an official post on the (X) platform, Syrian investors can now apply directly at the Saudi Embassy in Damascus, while Saudi investors can submit their applications through the official Saudi Interior Ministry platform via a designated link. This decision comes at a time when Syria is undertaking governmental efforts to boost investment and revitalize its economy. Damascus is preparing to host the international “Immar” exhibition on October 29, as part of broader initiatives to support reconstruction projects and stimulate national industries. This move signals a new phase of economic openness between the two countries and presents an opportunity for Saudi investors to explore promising sectors in the Syrian market, particularly infrastructure, energy, and agriculture.
