“I encouraged my wife and children to understand that this is a mission I feel proud of. Although the newly established unit will face some difficulties, the more challenges we encounter, the stronger our training becomes. I am not alone; all officers and soldiers of the 925 Economic-Defense Group are ready to accept and complete assigned tasks to the best of our abilities,” said Captain Nguyen Van Tien.
Major Phong Thanh Phong, the political commissar of the Tan An Tai coastal base under the 925 Economic-Defense Group, received a new assignment approximately 200 kilometers from his home at the time his youngest child was born. His eldest was in first grade, and the family was not living with their grandparents. Despite these challenges, Comrade Phong remained optimistic and clearly demonstrated his determination: “Although I work far from home, with encouragement and support from my family, I always feel secure in my work.
