The report revealed that in 2023, the first year of the company’s presence in the Egyptian market, Haleon’s contribution to GDP reached 2.2 billion Egyptian pounds ($72 million). This included the direct, indirect, and catalytic impact of the company’s activities, with the report indicating that for every $100 spent by Haleon to support GDP, an additional $4,400 was generated in the Egyptian economy.

Haleon’s operations also enabled 4,500 new jobs nationwide, with every 10 Haleon employees indirectly supporting 367 additional jobs across supply chains and services linked to its activities.

The report noted that 98% of Haleon’s total purchases in the local market were operational expenses, compared to 2% capital expenditures, with over 73% going to locally manufactured products.
