Minneapolis Fed to Host Webinar on Tourism and Hospitality Sector Outlook

The Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis, in collaboration with Hospitality Minnesota, has concluded its assessment of the tourism and hospitality industry’s performance following the summer season. A September survey was conducted to evaluate current business conditions and expectations for the near future across Minnesota’s travel and service sectors. Analyst Haley Chinander will present the findings during a free online event, offering insights into regional economic trends. She will be joined by Angie Whitcomb from Hospitality Minnesota for a discussion and audience Q&A to explore the data in greater depth.

The initiative reflects the Minneapolis Fed’s broader mission to support inclusive economic growth and financial stability. The event also highlights the contributions of the Center for Indian Country Development and the Opportunity & Inclusive Growth Institute. Visual content for the event was provided by Jake MacDonald of the Minneapolis Fed and Paul Vincent of Explore Minnesota Tourism.

This webinar aims to inform stakeholders, including business owners, policymakers, and community leaders, about the health of a key regional industry. While specific survey results were not detailed in the announcement, the session is expected to cover operational challenges, workforce dynamics, and consumer demand patterns in the post-summer period.
