Dr. Ziad Bahaa El-Din, former Deputy Prime Minister of Egypt, emphasized that citizens have endured the economic reform program and should now begin to experience its benefits through improved living standards. He stressed that real economic progress cannot stem solely from falling prices but must be accompanied by rising income levels and better public services.
In an interview with journalist Sherif Amer on the show “Hosseb Fi Masr” broadcast on MBC Egypt, Bahaa El-Din highlighted the importance of clear communication from the government about specific areas where living conditions will improve for Egyptians.
He noted that while macroeconomic indicators in Egypt are showing signs of recovery, the average citizen has yet to feel these positive changes in daily life. The economic strategy adopted to stabilize the economy has come at a tangible cost, including price increases, which have placed a burden on households.
Bahaa El-Din called for policies that translate macro-level gains into tangible improvements in income and service delivery, ensuring that reforms deliver measurable outcomes for the population.

أكد الدكتور زياد بهاء الدين نائب رئيس الوزراء الأسبق، أن المواطنين تحملوا برنامج الإصلاح الاقتصادي ولابد ان يشعر المواطن بثمار الإصلاح وتحسين مستوى المعيشة. n nوقال بهاء الدين خلال لقاء مع الإعلامي شريف عامر في برنامج يحدث في مصر على قناة ” إم بي سي مصر، أن التحسن الاقتصادي لن يأتي من انخفاض الأسعار فقط ولكنه يأتي من ارتفاع نسب الدخل وتحسن الخدمات العامة المقدمة للمواطن n nوتابع بهاء الدين :على الحكومة ان تعلن عن البنود التي سوف تتحسن فيها مستوى المعيشة للمواطن المصري. n nواستكمل بهاء الدين قوله:هناك أسس اعتمدها الاقتصاد المصري للخروج من حالة التوتر والاضطراب لكن بتكلفة واضحة أهمها زيادة الأسعار. n nوأوضح بهاء الدين أن المؤشرات الاقتصادية الكلية في مصر تتحسن لكن مازال المواطن لم يشعر بأثار التحسن.
