Dr. Abdul Moneim Al-Sayed, director of the Cairo Center for Economic Studies, highlighted a significant rise in bilateral trade between Egypt and Turkey over recent years, describing President Erdogan’s visit to Egypt as a strategic alignment on both economic and security fronts to address regional instability.
In a phone interview with “Extra News” channel, he emphasized growing coordination between the two nations across political, economic, and commercial domains. Recent agreements aim to deepen collaboration, localize Turkish technology within Egypt, and enhance military, economic, and trade relations.
Trade volumes have notably increased over the past three years, with expectations that economic cooperation could reach 15 billion U.S. dollars by 2030. The establishment of Turkish manufacturing facilities within the Suez Canal Zone marks a pivotal step toward industrial localization and supports Egypt’s Vision 2030 strategy.
These investments are also generating employment opportunities for Egyptian youth and boosting export capacity, particularly in the textiles and garments sector, which surpassed 3.8 billion dollars in exports by 2025.

قال الدكتور عبد المنعم السيد مدير مركز القاهرة للدراسات الاقتصادية، إن حجم التبادل التجاري بين مصر وتركيا شهد نموًا كبيرًا خلال السنوات الماضية، مؤكدًا أن هذه الزيارة تمثل تحالفًا أمنيًا واقتصاديًا لمواجهة التحديات الإقليمية. n nوأضاف خلال مداخلة هاتفية عبر قناة “إكسترا نيوز”، أنّ هناك تنسيقًا متناميًا بين البلدين على المستويات السياسية والاقتصادية والتجارية. n nوأشار إلى أن الاتفاقيات التي تم توقيعها مؤخرًا تهدف إلى توسيع التعاون وتوطين التكنولوجيا التركية في مصر، وتعزيز العلاقات الاقتصادية والتجارية والعسكرية بين البلدين. n nوأوضح السيد أن المعاملات التجارية بين مصر وتركيا قد بدأت بالزيادة بشكل ملحوظ خلال السنوات الثلاث الماضية، ومن المتوقع أن يصل حجم التعاون التجاري إلى 15 مليار دولار بحلول عام 2030. n nوأكد السيد أن دخول المصانع التركية منطقة قناة السويس يمثل خطوة مهمة في توطين الصناعة ودعم استراتيجية مصر 2030. n nوأشار إلى أن هذه المصانع توفر فرص عمل للشباب المصري وتساهم في زيادة حجم الصادرات المصرية إلى الخارج، خصوصًا في قطاع المنسوجات والملابس الذي تجاوزت صادراته 3.8 مليار دولار في عام 2025.
