White House Announces Crypto Roundtable for Next Week

U.S. President Donald Trump is set to host a crypto summit on March 7, the White House announced in a press release. The event will be led by White House Crypto and AI Czar David Sacks and Bo Hines, executive director of a working group on digital assets, with Trump delivering remarks. “Attendees will include prominent founders, CEOs, and investors from the crypto industry, as well as members of the President’s Working Group on Digital Assets,” the release stated.

The summit follows Sacks’ first public comments as Trump’s crypto czar on Feb. 4, where he emphasized keeping innovation in the U.S. “Financial assets are destined to become digital, and we want that value creation to happen in the United States,” he said. The announcement caps a significant week for the crypto industry, marked by developments such as a federal judge approving the Securities and Exchange Commission’s motion to withdraw its case against Coinbase. Additionally, the SEC informed Ethereum incubator ConsenSys and exchange Gemini that investigations into their operations would conclude. The agency also paused its case against the Tron Foundation and founder Justin Sun.

“After the previous administration unfairly prosecuted the digital asset space, President Trump’s policy vision represents a new era for digital financial technology,” the White House stated. “The administration is committed to providing a clear regulatory framework, enabling innovation and protecting economic liberty.”
