Tesla (TSLA) sales crash continues in Europe, with Germany down 70%

Tesla’s sales decline in Europe has worsened, with February numbers showing significant drops across multiple markets. In Germany, Tesla delivered only 1,429 vehicles, marking a 76% decrease compared to February 2024. Year-to-date, Tesla’s deliveries in Germany are down 70%, impacting what was once its largest European market. Similar declines were reported in the Netherlands and Portugal, with the latter seeing just 547 deliveries in February.

While Tesla experienced a slight recovery in the UK, where sales rose 7% year-over-year in February, the overall trend remains concerning. Tesla fans attribute the downturn to the Model Y changeover, but data suggests deeper issues. For instance, Model 3 sales in Germany and France dropped by 40% and 60%, respectively, despite no significant production disruptions last year.

The sales slump indicates that Tesla’s challenges in Europe extend beyond temporary production changes, raising questions about its competitiveness in the region.
