The eighth-generation Chevrolet Corvette, introduced in 2019, sparked debates over its styling, lack of a manual transmission, and its mid-engine configuration. One of the most polarizing aspects was its driver-centric interior design featuring a vertical row of buttons dividing the dashboard. For the 2026 model year, Chevrolet has unveiled a redesigned C8 Corvette interior that maintains its unique character while enhancing user-friendliness.
The new interior retains an asymmetric design focused on the driver but incorporates advanced technology and improved ergonomics. Highlights include a 14-inch digital gauge cluster and a 12.7-inch central touchscreen angled toward the driver. A 6.6-inch screen to the left of the gauge cluster displays vehicle information and performance metrics such as g-forces, tire pressure, and boost pressure.
Physical climate control buttons have been reintroduced below the air vents, simplifying access to frequently used functions. The redesigned console now features a passenger grab handle, wireless charging pad, and illuminated cup holders. The drive mode selector is relocated behind the gear selector buttons, and USB-C ports are now standard.
The interior offers new asymmetrical color schemes, such as Jet Black combined with Adrenaline Red, and vibrant options like Sky Cool and Medium Ash Gray with Habanero orange accents. The optional Performance Data Recorder includes real-time data analysis and high-definition video recording capabilities, along with media streaming apps for parked use. Additional updates include a new PTM Pro setting, carbon-ceramic brakes for the ZR1, and an electrochromic glass panel in the targa roof. Pricing and availability details for the 2026 Corvette have yet to be announced.
