The Lazarus Group transferred 10,000 Ether (ETH), worth $27 million, to a wallet labeled Bybit Exploiter 54 on Feb. 22 in an effort to launder the funds, according to Lookonchain. Onchain data reveals that the group holds 489,395 ETH, valued at over $1.3 billion, and 15,000 Mantle Restaked ETH (cmETH) across 53 wallets. Etherscan shows over 83 transactions between wallets in the past eight hours, with the most recent transfer containing 66 ETH, valued at $182,831. The $1.4 billion Bybit hack, the largest in crypto history, caused ETH’s price to drop by 8% in a day. Recovery efforts have begun, with $43 million in stolen funds already recovered. Tether froze 181,000 USDt (USDT) linked to the hack. Bybit announced a bounty program offering up to 10% of the stolen funds, worth up to $140 million, for recovery assistance.
