Deadly Tomato Recall Issued Due to Salmonella Contamination

A severe health risk alert has been issued for tomatoes distributed by Williams Farms Repack, LLC and H&C Farms between April 23 and April 28, 2025, in Georgia, North Carolina, and South Carolina. The FDA upgraded the recall to Class 1 due to salmonella contamination, indicating a significant risk of serious health consequences or death. Vulnerable populations, such as the young, elderly, and immunocompromised, are at higher risk. Although these tomatoes are no longer available for sale, they might still exist in freezers or pantries if preserved. Consumers who purchased tomatoes during this period should avoid consuming them and return them for a refund. For more details, contact Jason Breland at 843-866-7707 or 843-599-5154.
