The St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, starting tomorrow, Wednesday, will host 20,000 participants from 140 countries and regions to explore economic growth in a multipolar world. The Saudi newspaper “Al-Eqtisadiah” is participating in covering the event as a media representative from the Middle East. Anton Kobyakov, an advisor to the Russian president and executive secretary of the organizing committee, stated: “20,000 representatives from 140 countries and regions have confirmed their participation in the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.” He added, “The large turnout reflects the forum’s role as a reliable platform for developing practical solutions and identifying areas of international cooperation and sustainable development amid new global conditions.” Russian President Vladimir Putin is scheduled to deliver a speech at the forum’s plenary session on June 20. The forum, running from June 18 to 21, focuses on the theme “Shared Values – The Foundation for Growth in a Multipolar World.” The event addresses significant challenges facing the global economy, including the need to accelerate digital transformation and combat climate change. Discussions will cover the future of BRICS and its partners, the evolution of trade cooperation among member countries, and sustainable development in an unstable world. The forum will also examine geopolitical shifts, the balance of economic power, and changes in international energy markets, including the future of power generation and electricity markets, and opportunities for creating international energy corridors while promoting green logistics.
