The recall affects over 1.1 million units sold in the US between June 1, 2016, and December 31, 2022. Customers are advised to stop using the affected devices immediately and follow specific steps to receive a free replacement. These steps include submitting a photo of the recalled device showing the model and serial numbers, along with proof of proper disposal according to local regulations. Anker also recommends contacting local hazardous waste collection centers for safe disposal methods. Other Anker models, such as the Anker 523 PowerCore Slim 10K PD and PowerCore III 10K, are not part of this recall.
