Economist Dr. Tamer Arafa explained that the International Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (INTOSAI), currently chaired by Egypt, is a non-governmental entity uniting financial oversight bodies from 193 countries.
During his appearance on the program “Files,” he noted that the organization emphasizes transparency in financial reports issued by national audit institutions, thereby strengthening public and institutional confidence in these disclosures.
He added that INTOSAI operates through seven main regional branches worldwide, each carrying out activities aligned with the organization’s overarching goals within their respective geographic areas.
