The talks focused on expanding economic cooperation and deepening regional integration through stronger institutional support. The minister emphasized Egypt’s commitment to backing COMESA institutions in fulfilling their mandates to boost cross-border commerce and foster greater economic interdependence among member states. Strengthening financial mechanisms and improving trade infrastructure were highlighted as key areas for collaboration. Both parties agreed on the importance of leveraging the bank’s resources to support private sector development and facilitate smoother trade flows across the region.
