Arab Finance: Engineer Hassan El-Khateeb, Minister of Investment and International Cooperation, arrived in Prague on an official visit aimed at strengthening economic ties between Egypt and the Czech Republic, and increasing bilateral trade and investment volumes.
The minister is leading the Egyptian delegation to the second session of the Joint Economic Committee between the two countries, which resumes after a nine-year hiatus since the first session was held, reflecting the importance of these meetings in advancing cooperation with the Czech side.
Additionally, the minister will participate in the Czech Business Forum, which includes around 42 Czech companies operating in sectors such as automotive, renewable energy, textiles, and medical and chemical supplies, to highlight investment opportunities available in the Egyptian market.
It is scheduled for the minister to hold a meeting with Czech Minister of Industry and Trade Lukas Vlcek to discuss ways to enhance bilateral trade and investment relations. Meetings are also planned with executives of major Czech companies already investing in Egypt or seeking expansion, where discussions will focus on increasing their investments within Egypt and leveraging the country’s strategic location as a gateway to African and Arab markets, as well as benefiting from trade agreements offering customs exemptions with numerous countries worldwide.

وزير الاستثمار يتوجه إلى التشيك لتعزيز التعاون الاقتصادي وتنشيط الاستثمارات المشتركة
آراب فاينانس: توجه المهندس حسن الخطيب، وزير الاستثمار والتجارة الخارجية، إلى العاصمة التشيكية براغ في زيارة رسمية تهدف إلى تعزيز التعاون الاقتصادي بين مصر والتشيك، وزيادة حجم التبادل التجاري والاستثمارات المتبادلة.
ويترأس الوزير الوفد المصري المشارك في اجتماعات الدورة الثانية للجنة الاقتصادية المشتركة بين البلدين، والتي تُعقد بعد توقف دام نحو 9 سنوات منذ انعقاد الدورة الأولى، بما يعكس أهمية هذه الاجتماعات في دفع وتعزيز مجالات التعاون مع الجانب التشيكي.
كما يشارك الوزير في فعاليات منتدى الأعمال التشيكي، بمشاركة نحو 42 شركة تشيكية تعمل في قطاعات السيارات والصناعات المغذية، والطاقة المتجددة، والمنسوجات، والمستلزمات الطبية والكيماوية، وذلك للتعرف على الفرص الاستثمارية المتاحة بالسوق المصري.
ومن المقرر أن يعقد الوزير لقاءً مع السيد لوكاس فيلتشك، وزير الصناعة والتجارة التشيكي، لبحث آفاق تعزيز العلاقات التجارية والاستثمارية بين البلدين، إلى جانب اجتماعات مع مسؤولي كبرى الشركات التشيكية المستثمرة في مصر والراغبة في التوسع، حيث سيتم مناقشة سبل زيادة استثماراتها داخل مصر، واستغلال موقع مصر الاستراتيجي كبوابة للأسواق الأفريقية والعربية، إلى جانب الاستفادة من الاتفاقيات التجارية التي تتيح إعفاءات جمركية مع العديد من الدول حول العالم.
