Egypt’s Minister of Planning Targets 4.5% Economic Growth

Dr. Rania Al-Mashat, Egypt’s Minister of Planning and Economic Development, emphasized that the country aims to achieve an economic growth rate of 4.5% for the fiscal year 2025/2024. She highlighted the flexibility of Egypt’s economy, which allows it to adapt to regional challenges by revising economic and social goals. Speaking on ‘Extra News,’ Al-Mashat noted that the government considered current unstable regional conditions while drafting the development plan, ensuring the ability to adjust targets as needed. She also praised the role of the Parliament’s Planning and Budget Committee in reviewing the comprehensive budget report.
