The Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics is set to release the findings of Egypt’s sixth economic census today, Monday morning. This census serves as a foundational data source for all state sectors, supporting planning and policy development across the economy.
The economic census is considered one of the most significant statistical initiatives conducted by the agency, carried out every five years in line with international recommendations. To date, five previous economic censuses have been completed since the first in 1991/1992, with the most recent one conducted in 2017/2018 and its results published in March 2020.
The implementation plan for the sixth economic census consists of multiple phases. The first phase involves surveying industrial zones, updating frameworks for ongoing statistical activities, analyzing results from current surveys and industrial areas, and establishing a framework for field agent deployment.
The second phase includes enumerating establishments within designated areas, reviewing and verifying the 12 census forms, obtaining an updated sampling frame, finalizing the census sample, conducting a pilot test, and evaluating all procedures and form designs. This is followed by training field staff, launching field operations, and ultimately reviewing collected data and generating final outputs.
This census acts as the primary method for gathering comprehensive data on economic activities and establishments across various types and scales. It aims to build a robust database reflecting all components of economic activity across different sectors, aligned with the latest international standards and definitions.

يعلن الجهاز المركزي للتعبئة العامة والإحصاء، صباح اليوم الاثنين، نتائج التعداد الاقتصادي السادس، والذي تعتمد عليه كافـة قطاعـات الـدولة للحصول على البيـانات. n nويصنف التعداد الاقتصادى بأنه أحد أهم المشروعات الإحصائية التى يجريها جهاز الإحصاء، ويُنفذ بدورية ثابتة كل خمس سنوات طبقاً للتوصيات الدولية، ولقد نفذ الجهاز حتى الآن عدد خمس تعدادات اقتصادية اعتباراً من عام 1991/1992، كان آخرها التعداد الاقتصادى لعـام 2017/ 2018 والذى أعلنت نتائجه فى مارس 202. n nوتتضمن الملامح الرئيسية للخطة الزمنية لتنفيذ التعداد الاقتصادي السادس مجموعة من المراحل، ففي المرحلة الأولى يتم حصر المناطق الصناعية وتحديث أطر الإحصاءات الجارية، ودراسة نتائج الإحصاءات الجارية والمناطق الصناعية والخروج بإطار مناطق المعاونين. n nوتشمل المرحلة الثانية حصر المنشآت بمناطق المعاونين، ومراجعة وتدقيق استمارات التعداد الاقتصادي وعددهم 12 استمارة، إلى جانب الحصول على إطار محدث لسحب عينة التعداد الاقتصادي، ثم الاستقرار على عينة التعداد الاقتصادي، وإجراء التجربة القبلية للتعداد الاقتصادي وتقييم كافة الإجراءات والأعمال الخاصة بالاستمارة والتطبيق بعد إجراء التجربة، والتدريب والعمل الميداني للتعداد وأخيرا مراجعة البيانات الواردة واستخراج النتائج. n nويعتبر التعداد الاقتصادي هو الوسيلة الرئيسية لجمع البيانات عن الأنشطة والمنشآت الاقتصادية بأنواعها ومستوياتها المختلفة وتوفير قاعدة بيانات شاملة لجميع مقومات الأنشطة الاقتصادية فى القطاعات المختلفة طبقاً لأحدث المفاهيم والمعايير الدولية.
