On Wednesday, November 5, at 9:00 a.m. Eastern Time, the Atlantic Council’s Indo-Pacific Security Initiative and Economic Statecraft Initiative, in collaboration with the Korea Inter-Parliamentary Exchange Center (KIPEC), will host a panel discussion reviewing the outcomes of the 2025 Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit. The leaders’ meeting, held from October 31 to November 1 in Gyeongju, South Korea, brought together key regional figures to address pressing economic and geopolitical issues.

The event will focus on major developments from the summit, including shifts in regional leadership, the state of U.S.-China relations—highlighted by a sideline meeting between Trump and Xi—and evolving tariff strategies.
