After six months of training, including four Zoom sessions and six in-person sessions at the Mexicali Campus, the closing session of the fourth edition of the Leaders in Economic Development course was held at CETYS Universidad Campus Internacional Ensenada. This edition included 40 participants from business organizations, chambers of commerce, corporate leaders, graduate students, entrepreneurs, and professionals. Dr. Jairo Soria, Academic Coordinator of the Leaders in Economic Development Program, explained that the course aims to prepare executives and regional leaders in economic development, targeting businesspeople, government personnel, and those interested in projects to improve community conditions, quality of life, and competitiveness. Participants gained insights into Baja California’s commercial, regulatory, and social dynamics within a global context, learning about innovation, competitiveness, strategic planning, and investment promotion. Attendees interacted with business leaders, local authorities, academics, and international consultants. Mauricio Vega Kuri, Director General of Grupo Gil Baja Constructora Inmobiliaria, praised the course for its firsthand testimonial data and focus on economic development.
