IMF Announces New Global Economic Forecasts, Acknowledges Egypt’s Economic Progress

Kozack also mentioned ongoing virtual discussions for the fifth review of Egypt’s economic reform program. She highlighted Egypt’s notable progress in economic reforms, particularly in foreign currency reserves. Discussions between the IMF team and Egyptian authorities have been productive, focusing on policy reforms to further empower the private sector and ensure fair competition.
