Local Bike Suppliers Praise Economic Boost from TuBi Plan in San Luis

The recent delivery of 471 bicycles under the TuBi Plan in Villa Mercedes, led by Governor Claudio Poggi, brought joy to students and highlighted the program’s positive economic impact. Held at Parque La Pedrera, the event benefited 5th-year students from 15 local schools. Beyond aiding students and promoting healthy habits, TuBi has become an economic driver, reactivating the private sector. Suppliers like De Todo SRL, Altamirano Bike, Bicicletería Godoy, MG Bike, Grupo Olympia, and NQV Bike actively participated. Julio César Godoy of Bicicletería Godoy traveled from Quines, delivering 150 bikes in Merlo and 50 in Villa Mercedes. “This plan is excellent for economic reactivation, allowing me to hire more staff,” he said. He praised the initiative for encouraging nature engagement, adding, “Promoting healthy habits through cycling is a great idea.” Alejandro Escudero of NQV Biker, who participated in TuBi in 2015, is assembling 300 bikes and may add 200 more. “This is a huge opportunity for growth, providing jobs in my workshop,” he said. Both suppliers expressed gratitude to the governor, emphasizing the plan’s significant economic and social benefits.
