Malaysia Achieves Positive Results in Economic Indicators

The Malaysian Ministry of International Trade and Industry highlighted that the jump from 34th place last year reaffirms Malaysia’s path toward its goal of ranking among the top 12 most competitive economies globally by 2033, as outlined in the Madani economic framework. The country ranked fourth globally in economic performance, improving by four positions compared to the previous year. Additionally, both government and business efficiency improved by eight places. Regarding the international trade sub-factor, Malaysia ranked sixth due to robust growth in goods and services exports, market diversification, and increased tourism revenue. MITI Minister Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Abdul Aziz noted that the 11-position rise reflects the close relationship between bureaucratic reforms and the facilitation of strong investment and industrial growth.
