National Women’s Council Head Meets OECD Delegation to Discuss Gender Empowerment Policies

Dr. Amal Ammar, President of Egypt’s National Council for Women, hosted a delegation from the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), including policy analyst Nicole Drew, justice expert Marwa Salah, and governance specialists Kowala Yasoma and Yusuf Ashmawi. The meeting, attended by Sherin Mahir, National Program Coordinator for Girls’ Empowerment, reviewed Egypt’s progress in advancing women’s rights under the National Strategy for Women’s Empowerment 2030, launched under the patronage of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi. nDiscussions covered advancements in female leadership and judicial representation, alongside initiatives to combat gender-based violence, child marriage, and female genital mutilation.
