In a move to reinforce economic collaboration, a Saudi Arabian investment delegation has arrived in Damascus. Leading the mission is Minister of Investment Khalid Al-Falih, who heads a group of over 150 members representing both public and private sectors across various economic fields. The visit marks a significant step in deepening Saudi-Syrian economic ties.
Upon arrival, the delegation was welcomed by key Syrian officials, including Dr. Mohammad Nidal Al-Shaar, Minister of Economy and Industry; Engineer Mohammad Al-Bashir, Minister of Energy; and Abdul Salam Haykal, Minister of Communications and Technology. Additionally, Saudi Ambassador to Syria Faisal Al-Mujfel, along with embassy staff and local officials, greeted the delegation.
This visit highlights Saudi Arabia’s commitment to supporting Syria’s economic recovery and reinforcing bilateral economic relations, rooted in longstanding historical and fraternal ties between the two nations.
