Spanish Statistics Office Reveals Economic Growth Improvement in Second Quarter

According to data released by Spain’s statistical office, economic growth showed signs of improvement during the second quarter, attributed to a rebound in domestic demand. The report indicated that gross domestic product increased by 0.7%, following a 0.6% rise in the first quarter. n nHousehold consumption experienced an uptick of 0.8%, while government spending slightly declined by 0.1%. n nThe data also revealed that exports rose by 1.1%, and imports increased by 1.7% compared to the previous quarter. n nRetail sales growth accelerated to 6.2% year-on-year in June, up from 5.0% in May of the same year.
