Tolima Economic Development Secretariat Engages in Territorial Development Seminar

The Economic Development Secretariat of Tolima participated in a seminar focused on territorial development and internationalization held in Bogota. The event, organized by Colombia’s Augusto Ramirez Ocampo Diplomatic Academy, brought together territorial representatives, international cooperation experts, diplomats, and academics to strengthen institutional capabilities in internationalization and promote comprehensive economic development strategies.

This strategic engagement aligns with Governor Adriana Magali Matiz’s vision to position Tolima as a significant player in national and international economies through the “Tolima Investment Center” initiative. The program aims to attract foreign direct investment, expand international trade opportunities, and promote Tolima’s talent, products, and services in new markets.

The seminar addressed key topics including local-global integration, territorial diplomacy, and international cooperation opportunities as drivers for sustainable development. The participation reinforces the departmental government’s commitment to strengthening Tolima’s international presence, building strategic partnerships, and establishing a global economic agenda that benefits local entrepreneurs, businesses, and communities.
