Trump Suggests Tesla Vandals Could Face Jail Time and Possible Deportation

President Donald Trump has issued a warning to individuals involved in vandalizing Tesla properties, as incidents of destruction targeting vehicles, dealerships, and charging stations increase across the country.

On Friday morning, Trump posted on social media: “People that get caught sabotaging Teslas will stand a very good chance of going to jail for up to twenty years, and that includes funders. WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU!!!” Additionally, he suggested those found guilty could be sent to prison in El Salvador, referencing the administration’s controversial deportation policy.

Trump further commented, “I look forward to watching the sick terrorist thugs get 20 year jail sentences for what they are doing to Elon Musk and Tesla. Perhaps they would serve them in the prisons of El Salvador.”

Recent attacks on Tesla have been reported in multiple U.S. cities since Tesla CEO Elon Musk joined the Trump administration’s Department of Government Efficiency. Three individuals have been charged in connection with attacks on Tesla properties in Oregon, Colorado, and South Carolina.

Attorney General Pam Bondi condemned the vandalism, stating the suspects will face the full force of the law. The DOJ has labeled these acts as domestic terrorism.

A recent incident occurred in Fargo, North Dakota, where a suspicious fire was found at the base of electric vehicle chargers. The cause is under investigation.

Tesla’s stock has fallen nearly 48% this year, and recently, four top officers sold $100 million worth of stock. Musk reposted reactions supporting Trump’s stance, emphasizing accountability for funders of these attacks.
