Abu Dhabi-Mubasher: Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri, UAE Minister of Economy and Tourism and Chairman of Investopia, held two bilateral meetings with Eamon Ryan, Ireland’s Minister for Climate, Environment, Energy, and Transport, and Paul Kelly, Regional Development Director at Ireland’s National Tourism Development Authority, to discuss enhancing economic and tourism collaboration and exploring partnership opportunities across mutual sectors of interest.
The discussions took place on the sidelines of the “Investopia – Dublin” dialogues, which brought together senior officials, business leaders, and investors from the UAE and Ireland. The event was attended by Mohamed Al Shamsi, UAE Ambassador to Ireland, and Mohammed Al Hawi, Undersecretary of the UAE Ministry of Investment, according to the Emirates News Agency (WAM) on Thursday.
Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri emphasized the UAE’s open economic policy focused on deepening international partnerships. He noted that the meetings helped strengthen coordination in economic and tourism areas, expand cooperation between government entities and business communities, support growth in joint investments, and enhance air connectivity and visitor exchange.
He stated, “The UAE is committed to building effective economic partnerships with Ireland based on exchanging expertise and identifying high-potential investment opportunities in priority sectors, contributing to improved business competitiveness in both nations.” He added that Investopia continues to play a key role in connecting markets and enabling direct dialogue between decision-makers and investors, accelerating the transformation of investment prospects into tangible projects that support national economies.
During the meeting with Eamon Ryan, discussions centered on expanding cooperation in sustainable energy, infrastructure, and transportation, along with sharing experiences in circular economy models and policies that support the green transition, reinforcing both countries’ sustainability goals.
The meeting between Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri and Paul Kelly also focused on boosting tourism collaboration, exchanging knowledge on developing tourist destinations and regional tourism, particularly in designing travel routes, creating sustainable local destination branding, mutual promotion, and increasing visitor flows in alignment with both nations’ tourism objectives.
