NEW DELHI, July 2 (KUNA) — Ambassadors from Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) nations based in New Delhi convened for a session led by Kuwait to explore avenues for enhancing collaboration with India.
According to a statement released by Kuwait’s Embassy in New Delhi on Wednesday, the gathering, presided over by Kuwait as the current chair of the council, focused on strategies to strengthen and advance the relationship between the GCC and India across multiple sectors and at all levels.
During the discussions, the ambassadors exchanged regional perspectives and concepts aimed at promoting cooperative efforts within the Gulf region.
The meeting also addressed recent tensions in the area, with participants strongly condemning an attack by Iran on Qatar, which was characterized as a blatant breach of international laws and norms of good neighborly relations. The ambassadors reaffirmed the GCC countries’ unwavering backing for Qatar and pledged their complete support for its security and stability.
Concerns were also raised regarding the potential use of the Strait of Hormuz, a crucial maritime route for global trade and energy supplies, in any regional or international disputes.
This marks the second gathering of GCC ambassadors under Kuwait’s leadership, with the objective of sharing insights and aligning positions that benefit the collective interests of the GCC nations and India.

NEW DELHI, July 2 (KUNA) — Ambassadors of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries in New Delhi held a meeting chaired by Kuwait to discuss ways to deepen cooperation with India.
A statement by Kuwait’s Embassy in New Delhi on Wednesday said that the meeting, chaired by Kuwait as the current head of the council’s, discussed ways to enhance and develop the GCC India relations in various fields at all levels.
During the meeting, the ambassadors shared Gulf visions and ideas to support the progress of joint Gulf action.
The ambassadors discussed recent escalation in the region, expressing their condemnation and denunciation in the strongest terms of the Iranian attack against Qatar, describing it a flagrant violation of international laws and the principles of good neighborliness.
They also affirmed the GCC countries’ firm support for Qatar and their full support for its security and stability.
The GCC ambassadors also expressed concern about the reference to the exploitation of the Strait of Hormuz, an important waterway for navigation, global trade, and the flow of energy supplies, in any regional and global disputes and conflicts.
