KUWAIT, Aug 19 (KUNA) — The Kuwait Oil Tanker Company (KOTC) announced Tuesday that it achieved exceptional results in the 2022–2024 Tokyo Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) Flag State Performance List, reinforcing Kuwait’s reputation for maritime excellence.
According to KOTC, during the evaluation period, all 30 inspections conducted on vessels flying the Kuwaiti flag resulted in zero deficiencies, earning the nation a place among the highest-performing flag states under Port State Control (PSC). This achievement is largely attributed to KOTC’s fleet, which constitutes the majority of Kuwait’s commercial shipping vessels.
The company expressed pride in the accomplishment, highlighting its unwavering dedication to operational integrity, vessel maintenance, and adherence to international safety standards.
The General Directorate of the Coast Guard extended formal congratulations, recognizing the consistent efforts of KOTC staff and management.
