GENEVA, July 8 (KUNA) — Kuwait’s Minister of State for Communications Affairs and current Chairman of the Digital Cooperation Organization Council for 2025, Omar Al-Omar, held discussions on Tuesday with Kenya’s Minister of Information, Communications and the Digital Economy, William Kabogo Gitau, and Tanzania’s Minister for Information, Communication and Information Technology, Jerry William Silaa.
The meetings occurred at the Kuwaiti Mission to the United Nations and International Organizations in Geneva, held on the margins of the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS).
The ministers explored opportunities to strengthen collaboration, address shared priorities, and advance initiatives among member states of the Digital Cooperation Organization Council.
Kuwait assumed leadership of the Digital Cooperation Organization Council for 2025 in February, succeeding the Kingdom of Jordan.
The Digital Cooperation Organization is a global multilateral body dedicated to promoting digital prosperity by supporting inclusive and sustainable growth of the worldwide digital economy. (end) r namk.bb
