KUWAIT, July 20 (KUNA) — The Ministry of Information, the Public Authority for Applied Education and Training (PAAET), and the Kuwait Journalists Association (KJA) have reached an agreement to establish a Digital Media diploma program at PAAET. nThe Information Ministry announced that Minister of Information and Culture and Minister of State for Youth Affairs Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi convened a meeting with PAAET Director General Dr. Hassan Al-Fajjam and KJA Chairman Adnan Al-Rashed to further develop the initiative. nThis new diploma aims to enhance media literacy among Kuwaiti youth and equip them with skills in rapidly evolving digital areas such as visual and interactive content, modern social platforms, and tourism media. The initiative supports Kuwait’s broader goals to expand its tourism industry and position itself as a cultural and media center in the region. nAccording to the ministry, the program will produce graduates capable of generating high-quality, culturally reflective content, enriching the domestic media landscape, and encouraging youth-led entrepreneurship. nThis initiative aligns with the ministry’s broader strategy of fostering collaboration between governmental bodies and civil society to promote a creative and knowledge-based “New Kuwait.” nAlso present at the meeting were KJA Treasurer Dhahiran Aba Al-Khail and PAAET Deputy Director General for Applied Education and Research Dr. Mohammad Al-Hayyan.
