KUWAIT, July 20 (KUNA) — The Public Authority for Food and Nutrition (PAFN) has decided to lift restrictions on poultry imports from Brazil. This decision was made following the conclusion of an outbreak of avian influenza, also known as bird flu. nPreviously, the ban covered all varieties of poultry meat, including fresh, chilled, frozen, and processed forms, along with related derivatives and products. nPAFN announced on its X platform that the Supreme Committee for Food and Water Safety recommended continuing restrictions on the import of all fresh, chilled, processed, and frozen poultry meat and its derivatives, except for those treated at a temperature of 70 degrees Celsius. This is due to ongoing concerns about avian flu in certain areas of the United States. (end) r nmrv.res
