Kuwait PM Leads Strategic Meeting on Energy and Water Projects

KUWAIT, June 23 (KUNA) — His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah presided over a high-level meeting on Monday at Bayan Palace to assess the progress of Kuwait’s strategic energy and water desalination initiatives. The session highlighted major upcoming projects, including the Shagaya and Al-Abdaliya renewable energy ventures, as well as power plant developments in Al-Zour North (phases 1 and 2), Al-Khiran Phase 1, Al-Nuwaiseeb Phase 1, and the Subiya expansion. His Highness emphasized the need to utilize all available resources and address challenges to ensure timely completion of these projects. He also acknowledged the national efforts spearheaded by the Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy and other relevant entities. Attendees included Abdulaziz Al-Dakheel, Head of the Prime Minister’s Diwan, Minister Dr. Subaih Al-Mukhaizim, and senior officials from the ministry.
