European Stocks Gain as Robust US Jobs Data Ease Growth Worries

European stock markets moved higher following stronger-than-expected US employment data, which helped ease concerns about global economic slowdowns. Germany’s Siemens AG was among the top performers, benefiting from improved trade sentiment.

By the close of trading, the Stoxx Europe 600 Index had increased by 0.5 percent. Personal care and retail sectors outperformed the broader market, while healthcare and mining stocks lagged behind.
