Çollaku: Kurti brought tensions and war fears, not salary increases or economic development

Political commentator Bekim Çollaku has strongly criticized the leadership of Prime Minister Albin Kurti, emphasizing that the Vetëvendosje party lacks the capacity to effectively manage the role of head of government.

He negatively assessed the lack of economic development and the rise in political tensions, particularly concerning relations with Serbia. Çollaku highlighted on Rubicon that uncertainty and fear of potential conflict have increased, while there have been no significant improvements in welfare or wages, as reported by klankosova.tv.

According to Çollaku, Vetëvendosje does not possess the necessary personnel to fulfill the responsibilities of the prime minister’s office—at least based on the performance observed during this term.

Beyond ongoing political crises and daily rhetoric about the possibility of war in Kosovo, the administration has failed to deliver economic growth, development, wage increases, or enhanced social assistance. Instead, tensions between Kosovo and Serbia have risen, along with growing fears that Kosovo may face conflict either before or after the new year.

“These mistakes are unforgivable, and Mr. Kurti will find it difficult to rectify them,” Çollaku stated.

He added that Limaj cannot be blamed for seeking cooperation with Kurti for joint governance. However, responsibility should be placed on PDK, LDK, and AAK for failing to reach a consensus on the presidency—a separate issue altogether.
