Model Karolina Kurkova and husband are at war with Fisher Island’s exclusive members-only club

Supermodel Karolina Kurkova and her husband, real estate broker Archie Drury, are suing the Fisher Island Club, an exclusive members-only club on a private island near Miami. Filed last Thursday in Miami-Dade County court, their lawsuit accuses the club’s board of directors of threatening and targeting them to strip their property interests and prevent Drury from conducting business on the island. The couple claims the board’s actions harmed their reputation and caused millions in damages.

The dispute reportedly began after Drury left Douglas Elliman to start his own brokerage, creating conflicts of interest as two Fisher Island Club board members also sit on Douglas Elliman’s board. The club suspended Drury’s membership twice, accusing him of misconduct, including an incident involving a Range Rover and breaching suspension terms by entering a club restaurant to pick up food for his daughter. The club ultimately expelled the couple in January, alleging they attempted to defraud membership rules.

Kurkova and Drury argue that the allegations against them are false or exaggerated and accuse the board of abusing power, violating bylaws, and favoring Douglas Elliman in business dealings. They seek a jury trial to address these grievances. The Fisher Island Club denies all allegations, calling the lawsuit baseless and defending its actions as justified.
