The 2026 Toyota bZ marks a significant evolution from its predecessor, the bZ4x. The new model introduces a simpler name, increased driving range, and more powerful motors. The bZ now offers an estimated range of up to 314 miles on the XLE FWD Plus trim, thanks to a larger 74.7 kWh battery pack. Additionally, it features a Tesla-developed NACS charging port, enabling access to Tesla Superchargers without an adapter. Other enhancements include plug-and-charge capability, automatic or manual battery preconditioning, and a heat pump for improved thermal efficiency. Performance improvements are notable, with the AWD version boasting 338 horsepower, resulting in a 0-60 mph time of just 4.9 seconds. Design updates make the bZ appear sleeker, with a redesigned dashboard and a larger 14-inch infotainment screen. The 2026 Toyota bZ is set to arrive at U.S. dealerships in the second half of the year.
