China’s Factory Robots Provide Edge in Trade War

China is leveraging an army of factory robots powered by artificial intelligence to revolutionize manufacturing and gain an edge in the trade war. Automation across Chinese factories is occurring at a rapid pace, reducing manufacturing costs while improving product quality. This automation allows China to maintain lower export prices, providing an advantage against tariffs imposed by countries like the U.S., the European Union, and others including Brazil, India, Turkey, and Thailand.

China now surpasses the U.S., Germany, and Japan in factory automation. According to the International Federation of Robotics, China has more factory robots per 10,000 manufacturing workers than any country except South Korea and Singapore.
