During the 2025 Shanghai Auto Show, we had the opportunity to witness some of the most advanced electric vehicle (EV) technologies and designs. The event featured a variety of innovative EVs, including sleek models from Buick and Nissan, as well as the packed ZEEKR booth showcasing multiple EV models. Notably, ZEEKR unveiled its first-ever PHEV, the 9X MPV, which includes a giant rear screen and mini fridge. Additionally, NIO’s Firefly sub-brand made an appearance with its ultra-affordable EVs. The show also featured eVTOLs and flying cars, with CATL’s eVTOL prototype standing out. Among the highlights were ZEEKR’s 1,300 kW charger and BYD’s luxury sub-brand Yangwang’s U9, which stole the show with its breathtaking design. Lastly, some quirky and unusual designs, such as fuzzy cars, added an entertaining touch to the event.
