Netflix announced that its ad-supported subscription tier now boasts 94 million monthly active users, marking an increase of over 20 million since November. This tier, launched in November 2022, costs $7.99 per month, significantly less than the company’s cheapest ad-free plan at $17.99 per month. According to Netflix’s president of advertising, Amy Reinhard, the attention users give to mid-roll ads is comparable to their engagement with the shows and movies themselves.
