Protesters Rally Against Elon Musk and Tesla Amid Rising Tensions

Protesters gathered outside a Tesla showroom in West Palm Beach, Florida, denouncing Tesla CEO Elon Musk and his involvement with the Trump administration. The demonstration, organized by the Democratic Progressive Caucus, was peaceful until a black SUV drove into the crowd of over 100 protesters, narrowly avoiding injury. The driver, reportedly an employee of the Tesla showroom, claimed his brakes and electronics failed. He was subsequently arrested for assault.

This incident highlights the growing tension surrounding Musk, especially following his appointment as head of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). Musk’s aggressive approach to federal budget cuts has sparked controversy, including mass firings of federal workers and the closure of key programs. Critics argue his methods are arbitrary and counterproductive.

Tesla shares have dropped significantly since Musk began implementing budget cuts, falling from nearly $500 to $248.71 per share. Musk’s actions, including waving a chainsaw at a conservative conference and labeling Social Security a ‘Ponzi scheme,’ have further alienated supporters. Despite efforts by President Trump to bolster Tesla’s image, public opinion remains divided.
