Toyota Unveils 2026 C-HR BEV with 338 HP and 290-Mile Range

Toyota has introduced the 2026 C-HR Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV), featuring a powerful 338 combined system net horsepower and an estimated all-electric driving range of up to 290 miles. The compact crossover offers a premium interior with easy-access rear cargo space for comfort and utility. Equipped with DC fast-charging capability, it can charge from 10% to 80% in approximately 30 minutes under ideal conditions, accessing thousands of Level Three charging stations nationwide. Built on Toyota’s e-TNGA platform, the C-HR BEV boasts a coupe-like SUV profile with a fun-to-drive character and standard All-Wheel Drive (AWD). Inside, the modern cabin features soft-touch materials, customizable lighting, and a 14-inch touchscreen. The vehicle provides up to 25.4 cubic feet of cargo space behind the rear seats, enhancing its crossover utility. Expected to arrive at U.S. Toyota dealerships in 2026, the C-HR BEV is powered by a 74.7 kW battery and includes steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters for regenerative braking control. Standard features include a 14-inch touchscreen with Toyota Audio Multimedia, fully digital gauge cluster, dual wireless chargers, and Toyota Safety Sense 3.0. Exterior options comprise 18-inch and 20-inch wheels with various paint colors. Developed from a compact BEV concept first showcased in 2022, the C-HR BEV represents Toyota’s commitment to electrification, offering a variety of powertrain options including BEV, Hybrid, Plug-in Hybrid, and Fuel Cell models.
